Daily Devotional 30/10/2025.
God remembered Rachel;
He listened to her and enabled her to conceive. (Genesis 30:22, NIV)
Rachel was a victim of family traditions and tribal idiosyncrasies. Instead of her, her father deceptively gave her older sister to her suitor. She finally married the man but couldn't bear any child. (Marrying more than one wife is no more allowed today in Christ). Year after year went by, and she couldn’t conceive.
Rachel remained childless while her sister, Leah, had one baby after another. Finally, after years of waiting, she grew discouraged. One of the things I love about God is this: Just because we give up on a dream doesn’t mean He gives up on it. Seeming delay from the Lord means a bigger package!
The bible said, “God remembered Rachel.” It didn't say that Rachel remembered God. This is how much God wants you to fulfill your destiny. He is so loving, so merciful, that even when you become too discouraged to believe, God does not forget what He promised to do through you. Alleluyah!
Rachel gave birth to two children. One of them, Joseph, was used by the Lord to save the whole world, in their day, from hunger. Through him, God's vision for the nation of Israel got established. Beloved, God never forgets! He’s not a human being with limitations! Get your passion back. He will complete what He started in your life in Jesus mighty name!
You too. Don't sit down on the floor. Get back into serious fellowship with God. Stop comparing yourself with others. God does not handle us equally, He handles us specially! You are Special to Him. Amen!
