“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” (Genesis 50:20, NLT)
Beloved, not everyone around you hear God. This is why they easily persecute and antagonise you. It’s not personal hatred, they are just being used by the devil. This is the case of Joseph's brothers. For thirteen years, he was held in Egypt as a slave, then as a prisoner. Suddenly, he was brought out to interpret Pharaoh’s dream and made the prime minister.
When his brothers, who had sold him into slavery, came to the palace hoping to buy food for their families, they were shocked when they finally realized he was Joseph and feared he would take revenge upon them. But he said, “Don’t be afraid. You meant it to harm me, but God used you to bring me to this position so I could save so many lives.”
Beloved, Joseph's testimony will be your testimony when you do what he did. He refused to be bitter. He overcame temptation. He did not give room to depression. He trusted God completely with his life no matter what happened.
Till the end of this world, there will be people who avail themselves to be used by the devil to carry out his evil schemes. Your part is to stay in Christ, walking by His counsel, living by His Word. Just like Joseph, whatever evil that was meant against you will turn out for your good in Jesus mighty name!
