Daily Devotion 17/12/2025.

Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord!

Let it be to me according to your word.”

And the angel departed from her. (Luke 1:38 NKJV)

Every one of us is a picture of a thought or a Word we accepted directly or indirectly. Every Word or thought comes from a certain spirrit. Mary was brought up to fear and honour God. Accepting that lifestyle prepared her for a divine visitation.

Of all the ladies in Israel, Mary should be the last to accept such an assignment. Why? You may ask. She was engaged to be married soon. How will she explain to Joseph that she has agreed to carry a baby that will not be his? Beloved, you cannot accept a Word from the Lord and not face challenges.

Joseph had already decided to end their long time relationship had it not been for the intervention of the angel. Surprisingly, Mary never begged Joseph to understand and marry her. Her mind was made up. She has accepted God’s Word for her life not minding people's negative reactions.

The Word of the Lord Mary accepted produced Christmas. The Word of the Lord Moses accepted produced the nation of Israel. The Word of the Lord Jesus accepted produced the new family of God in heaven and on earth. Every Word you accept always result in the establishment of a divine program.

Beloved, have you accepted God’s Word for your life on earth? Remember, Christmas came to be because a young lady accepted God’s Word for her life. You will not miss yours in Jesus name! As we are thanking God for Marry's obedience, so will generations after you thank God for your obedience in Jesus' mighty name! 🙏🏻🌈🔥✝️
