Daily Devotion 18/12/2025.

Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the LORD. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths. (Psalm 119:1, 3, NLT)

Sometimes when we compromise and do something questionable or scripturally wrong, we deceptively justify it by the earthly result it brought, like gaining advantage with people, or getting their approval and acceptance. But that’s all you're ever going to get.

When you walk in integrity, when you live by what God says in His Word and don’t lower the standard for any reason, you’re gaining an advantage with God. His divine hand on your life will take you much further than having an advantage with people.

You may cut corners here and compromise there, but it’s only going to hurt you in the long run.

You may have made mistakes in the past and lacked integrity in certain areas. The good news is that it’s not impossible to correct. It just takes effort. It takes being open to change. It takes being willing to dig down deeper and start living by God's Word.

It means breaking out of compromising circles we’ve gotten used to. Let today be a new beginning. Ask God for the power over sin in Jesus name, He'll give you freely. Beloved, there’s no limit to how high God can take you.

Prayer: “Father, thank you for your mercy upon me. Please, show me if there is anything I’m doing that is keeping me from becoming your purpose for my life. I want to change, and I believe You have the power to change me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
