Why Jesus came

Daily Devotion 22/12/2025.

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Beloved, you are the reason for His coming to earth. Jesus came down to earth because the father so loved mankind that He wouldn’t want us to be kept continually in the devil’s wicked grip. Now, you see why I said its all because of you. If you have an important package held by the customs or similar authority, wouldn’t you go for clearance with the right papers?

Human beings are the highest creation of God on earth. This is because we were made in the image and likeness of God. No wonder the scripture declared that we were fearfully and wonderfully made! (See Psalm 139:14). Christmas is because you matter to God!

He placed His divine program in us and sent us down to carry it out. Now on mission field, men got distracted and sidetracked into deceptive rebellion. Jesus came to rescue God's project. You are God’s project. Understanding this will change the way you celebrate Christ-Mass.

Christ-Mass is supposed to be the season to break free from sin, and reaching out to embrace the salvation brought to mankind. Christmas is the time to organise people and friends, and sharing the testimony of your salvation. Jesus came to save sinners, not encourage them to be worse.

Aren’t you glad Jesus saved you? Meditate on these and it will amaze you that Jesus is not the reason, YOU ARE the reason for this season. God bless you to glorify His name, especially this season. Amen!
